Abstract
Through the dissemination of research findings, scholarship and practice may be informed, and policy and society may be influenced. This article reviews various purposes of and audiences for research information, and discusses dissemination strategies in terms of the seven factors that account for most of the spread and utilization of knowledge, as identified by Havelock (1372) in his review of research and literature on dis- semination, which remains among the classic papers in this discipline.
