Abstract
This article addresses key considerations in preparing special education research articles for submission to professional journals in which the preferred style guide is the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The guidelines provided in this resource are drawn from a body of special education research literature, from editors and authors experienced in professional and technical writing in special education, and from accepted authorities on special education publication practices. Conscientious use of this information will facilitate expression of ideas that are expected and accepted in a broad, established editorial tradition.
