Abstract
Thirty adult students from 20 to 60 years of age listened to a tape recorded message after which they took a test for recall of information presented in that message. The correlation between age and listening test scores was —.46 which is significant at the .01 level. Regression analysis yielded a significant F (p<.01) for linearity of regression. The author concludes that those teach ing classes in which adult students vary widely in age might be aware that older students may be retaining less from oral presen tations of information than younger students.
