Abstract
A study of adult education participation in Brevard County, Flori da, was conducted to test the assumption that, since the population of that county contains a large number of college graduates em ployed in white collar occupations with an annual salary in excess of $7,000, the rate of adult participation in educational activities would be higher than the rate revealed in Johnstone's study. A survey of forty-nine purveyors of adult education services in the county revealed that approximately 30 of each 100 adults in the county participated in some adult education activity during 1966, i.e., approximately 41,896 adults from a total estimated adult population of 135,000 participated in these activities.
