Vatzquez (1982) has raised several important methodological issues in conducting research on the psychiatric evaluation of bilingual patients. Several of these issues are discussed in the context of a study conducted by Price and Cuellar (1981). Consensus is reached that objective instruments to evaluate psychopathology in bilinguals are sorely needed.
