Turnover and Mobility at Small Daily Newspapers

Abstract

Study finds turnover and mobility at small dailies at about 25 percent, not significantly higher than at larger newspapers or in other professions. Leading factors in employee mobility include the relative youth of staffers at small papers, low salaries and supervisors' lack of management skills.
