Abstract
The Jonesboro (AR) Sun's change from evening to morning publication offered an opportunity to find out how its readers and local readers of competing newspapers might change their habits. A small sample survey was done in 1982 and the same respondents were contacted again in 1984, two years after the conversion to A.M. publication. The change did not affect readers' use of non-local A.M. papers which were now in direct competition with the Sun, but the Sun's readers did adapt their reading habits to the new publication time.
