Abstract

Columnist Westbrook Pegler, a writer for the Scripps-Howard and Hearst newspapers from the mid-1930s through the 1950s, was the target of complaints from labor leaders for his attacks on labor. This research examines the anti-union themes that emerged in his mail from readers.
