Abstract
In 1988, ACSP appointed a National Commission on Undergraduate Edu cation. The Commission was asked to explore how planning education might respond to the widespread concern about the quality of under graduate education. It was also asked to consider what changes would need to be made in the rela tionship between undergraduate and graduate planning education. The full report has been published and distributed to all the planning schools. What follows are the princi pal observations, understandings, and recommendations of the Commission.
