One of the challenges in analytical chemistry has been the deter mination of polybrominated-dibenzodioxins (PBDD) and polybrominated di benzofurans (PBDF) in resin matrices containing brominated diphenylethers as flame retardants. This is mainly because brominated diphenylethers se verely interfere with PBDD/PBDF analyses.
