Abstract
This study examines the personal perceptions of Mexican American professionals about affirmative action policies and workplace discrimination Data were gathered through interviews and self-administered questionnaires circulated to Hispanic, African American, and Anglo-American managers in three categones executives, professionals, and supervisors Americans of Mexican descent are the focus of the study, and thus were separated from all other Hispamcs This methodology found that Mexican Americans, as a specific ethnic subculture, perceive that they are helped "somewhat" by affirmative action, while they contemporaneously report low levels of workplace discrimination
