Abstract
Smallest space analysis represents one way to probe the validity of intelligence tests. In this article a variety of techniques are used to further investigate the structure of the WPPSI and MILI batteries. In general, the approaches used in this investigation support Zeidner and Feitelson's claim that between-battery variance is the single most salient feature of the data set. However, no technique demonstrates the presence of the three-factor structure postulated for intelligence tests. This paper demonstrates the value of using several statistical approaches to investigate the structure of a data set.
