Abstract
The history of the construction and initial operation of Michigan's second medium BTU landfill gas operation is presented. Gas from 25 ha of a privately owned landfill is piped nearly 2 km to a factory that uses it as fuel for a steam boiler for 365 days a year. The only purification is removal of condensate water.
