Abstract
For the fourth consecutive year, the Review offers a selective survey of the field of correctional law. The case summaries below are from reported decisions of federal courts below the Supreme Court. The reader should remember that these decisions normally serve as only persuasive, nonbinding precedent beyond the jurisdictions in which they were decided. Some of the decisions are being appealed, and thus are subject to modifications or reversals. An update section at the end of the summaries reports on later developments in cases summarized in the previous Correctional Law issue. All case summaries were prepared by Michael R. Neuenkirch, a second year law student, Georgia State University College of Law.
