The theoretical relationship between the extent of cure and the temperature obtained in thermoset polyester resins is introduced. The curing behavior of resins in the presence of reinforcing phases was also investigated using a computer-assisted thermal analysis system. The outcome of the study was that the relationship between the cure time and temperature readings on the specimen can be used to assess the extent of cure.
