Non-isothermal and non-Newtonian simulations of flow in a combined Kneader and crosshead screw extruder system which yields pressure profiles, fill factor profiles and temperature profiles through both machines are described. The results are compared with experimental studies on a commercial Kneader manufactured by Buss AG.
