Abstract
Aluminium oxide powder has been deposited on a thermoplastic polymer (PET) using atmospheric plasma and laser (CO2, λ = 10.6 μm). The results have shown that there exists a mechanical anchorage of ceramic on the surface of the polymer whatever the technique used with different ceramic structures. To characterize the ceramic coating, two techniques have been used by tribological solicitation with little displacement (fretting) and by erosion. In this case, ceramic influence on the surface has been noted like protective substance in addition to the polymer structure interaction.
