Abstract
Tensile, compressive, and shear properties of pultruded AS2/Epon9310 unidirectional graphite/epoxy are presented and discussed in terms of the microstructure of the pultruded composite. The experimental results also are compared with microme chanics predictions. It is shown that the axial stiffness and particularly the axial strength of the pultruded composite are lower than the expected values. The lower stiffness and strength values are attributed to the nonuniform microstructure of the pultruded composite.
