Simplified procedures (methods) are described to design/analyze single and multibolt composite joints. Numerical examples illustrate the use of these methods. Factors affecting composite bolted joints are summarized. References are cited where more detailed discussions are presented on specific aspects of composite bolted joints. Design variables associated with these joints are summarized in the appendix.
