Abstract
The effect of fiber weight fraction on buckling of laminated composite plates has been investigated in the present study. The elastic properties of individual laminae are calculated from the elastic properties of fiber and matrix materials. The laminated plate has been modeled using eight noded isoparametric quadratic plate bending element using first order shear deformation theory. The buckling parameter of laminated composite plate has been calculated and compared with those available in literature. A detailed parametric study has been performed to investigate the effect of fiber weight fraction on buckling of laminated composite plates.
