Abstract
The original application of specially treated and thermally modified phosphogypsum (gypsum by-product from phosphoric acid industry) as filler for polyamide 6 and for PVC compositions has been studied. Phosphogypsum-filled compositions were studied with a view to substituting them for mineral-filled compositions. PA6 compositions containing 10 - 40 wt% and PVC compositions containing 97.5 - 205.5 phr of modified phosphogypsum as filler were examined. Properties of these compositions and a possible practical application are described.
