This study examined the interrater reliability of the Blessed Dementia Scale. On consecutive days, two raters, working independently, interviewed each of the caretakers of 47 demented subjects. Interrater reliability of total scale scores was determined by calculation of the Pearson correlation coefficient (r), the intra-classcorrelation coefficient (ICC), and the limits of agreement (Ð ± 2 s). By all three methods of calculation, the interrater reliability of the Blessed Dementia Scale was low.
