Abstract
In this paper, work has been outlined as a tried proposal to improve therapeutic efficiency in a long-term service without increasing the number of staff or the facilities. For this purpose all the available human resources have been used, including patients, in a systematic manner. We have found that a therapeutic organization covering totality and branching out into more specified activities according to the patient's particular needs, can help greatly to improve therapeutic efficiency. (See Table III). The staff has to be taught and oriented regarding motivational understanding, by taking part in different activities and by having discussion groups to see themselves and the patients in this challenging job.
