The teaching of dumping can be improved by identifying oversights in its presentation in undergraduate textbooks in International Economics. These oversights include misstating the relationship between elasticity and slope and also labeling foreign demand as being more elastic than domestic demand without reference to a specific price. A more precise yet intuitive explanation of dumping is suggested as an alternative to those presented in these textbooks.
