Abstract
The Philosophy Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences is to convene a conference on philosophy in 1965. By way of preparation for it the magazine Voprosy Filosofii (Problems of Philosophy), No. 11, 1964, publi shed an article by Soviet philosophers Vladimir Kelle and Matvey Kovalson entitled "On the Classification of Social Sciences", and invited scientists to discuss the questions it raised.
