Abstract
Jonathan Moreno’s book entitled Impromptu Man is about his father, Jacob Moreno, the founder of psychodrama and sociometry and covers Moreno’s life and career as well as 20th-century group psychotherapy, group dynamics, film and theatre, the encounter group movement, and social networking, with respect to his role and influence. In this interview, conducted in February 2015, Jonathan Moreno talks about his father in both personal and scholarly terms, elaborates on some of the key points in the book, and reflects on Jacob Moreno’s significance for dramaturgy, psychology, and the social sciences.
