Abstract
This article presents a critical overview of the most recent advances in the neurosciences, considering some of the mental phenomena that arise within the therapeutic situation of group analysis. The aim is to show the neurosciences as an extremely stimulating source of material that might permit a reorganization of our knowledge of psychodynamics and above all an everlasting source of reflection on the clinical work of group analysis.
