The Infrared laser effects (λ = 904 nm) on in vitro cultured fibroblasts were tested. It was found that, changing the frequency and the intensity of radiation, it was possible to have opposite results. At low frequency (0,4 KHz) the cellular growth was inhibited; at 1,6 KHz frequency and 3W/cm2/min intensity the proliferation was increased; at higher frequencies the cellular differentiation was stimulated and an increased fibrosynthetic activity was found.
