The authors report their experience on stenosis of the bladder neck secondary to TURP, referred to a period of 5 years (1992/97). There has been a decrease in incidence, particularly in the last year, in concomitance with replacement of the electric lancet, which is therefore considered one of the causes (iatrogenic) of the incidence of stenosis of the bladder neck after TURP.
