Papillary polypoid cystitis is not uncommon in patients with a permanent urethral catheter, but is not frequent in young subjects with no significant urological history. A case of papillary polypoid cystitis in a 26 year-old woman with endoscopic appearance leading to the suspicion of a papillary transitional bladder tumour, is reported. After histopathological diagnosis, intravesical hydrocortisone and antibiotic treatment was started, with complete reversal of the pathology.
