The advantages of autologous transfusion are nowaday well known. It appears so very important to enlarge to the greatest number of kinds of pathologies, trying to overcome all possible problems and studying every counterindication.
In this study, through a strict collaboration among orthopaedics, anhaestesia, transfusion medicine, neurological and pediatric specialists, we studied a peculiar protocol, suitable for enlarging the autologous techniques to brain damaged children and, after a regular application lasted globally for about two years, we did an evaluation of the results.
