Abstract
This report focuses on the recently discovered foundations of an early Gupta temple constructed from brick and stone and situated near the small village of Khanderia in the Bundi district of Rajasthan. A Śiva ekamukhaliṅga of exceptional beauty and sophistication lies within a sizeable sanctum, leading us to believe that this may once have been a monument of some importance. This report explores the temple ruins, the recent history of the site and the surrounding landscape. It is hoped that this article will add to scholarship on the Gupta presence in the Western Mālwa region.
