Abstract
The article “Angiotensin II Receptor Blockade Administered After Injury Improves Muscle Regeneration and Decreases Fibrosis in Normal Skeletal Muscle” by Bedair et al, published in the August 2008 issue (Original DOI: 10.1177/0363546508315470; Am J Sports Med. 2008;36:1548–1554), contained the following erroneous statement on page 1553 of the discussion: “all doses administered to the animals in this study were below the corresponding human dose equivalent for the antihypertensive effect of losartan.” We wish to correct this statement due to the fact that the high dose administered to the mice (300 mg/kg/d) is approximately 30 times the maximally tolerated dose for humans.
