This article reviews the influence of Berne, Steiner, Karpman, English, and Massey on the development of the author's work. It applies Karpman's (1968) drama triangle to the analysis of large social systems, discusses individual dynamics related to the phenomenon of stalking, and evolves into a discussion of some general characteristics of terrorists and dictators.
