The author describes the continuing impact of AIDS on gay men, particularly as it relates to couples. Case material from 14 years of experience with persons with AIDS (PWAs) and their partners is used to illustrate the context in which these clients live so that therapists working with this population can be attuned to the challenges facing gay couples living with HIV.
