This article describes the use of TA as a cognitive therapy in the treatment of borderline personality disorder. The pathology of the borderline patient is considered to be the result of stagnation in the structural development of the Child ego state. The authors describe how pathology related to the boundaries between and cathexis of ego states is treated first. Later stages of therapy emphasize game and script analysis.
