Abstract
In this article the author expresses his conviction that, for transactional analysts, ideological and political involvement is crucial if they are to foster Berne's idea of TA as a model for social psychiatry. Some personal anecdotes illustrate the impact of TA philosophy on the personal and professional lives of TA therapists and trainers.
