Building on Massey's (1989) theoretical integration of Berne's (1961), Bowen's (1976), and Minuchin's (1974) work on scripting, triangulation, and boundaries, a case study is presented to illustrate how scripting occurs in multigenerational contexts and how to use an understanding of systemic processes in the effective treatment of children.
