Multigenerational socialization processes are diagrammed by transactional analysts using script matrices and by family systems therapists using genograms. Combining the two techniques shows more of the context of scripting and of the personal dynamics of family patterns. Two case examples illustrate the integrated use of genograms and script matrices.
