Empowering Children II: Integrating Protection into Script Prevention Work

Abstract

Script prevention work is extended to include the role of protection in empowering children. Protection is defined and integrated into the permission structure of play therapy. Examples are given of how children try to empower themselves in their play, how they express their script roles, and how the therapist can integrate protection with permission to change any unhealthy script formation.
