Abstract
In this paper a model derived from a systems conceptualization is proposed. This model serves three primary functions:
By superimposing a T.A. conceptualization on a systems approach to families, it suggests a theoretical and integrative basis from which to view the family. It describes a developmental process within functional families. It offers implications for both the understanding and treatment of problems in families.
