This study was conducted at the maximum security federal penitentiary at Marion, Illinois—an institution housing repeated offenders and those who have been behavior problems at other maximum security institutions. The author examined the life scripts of members of the Asklepieion Therapeutic Community with the use of life script interviews. This is the first published systematic investigation of the life scripts of any population, and the results are presented in the form of a composite Life Script Profile.
