The author discusses intuition, creativity, aspirations, and play and suggests that these areas of experience are resources for therapeutic intervention in childhood. The thoughts of Eric Berne, Donald Winnicott, and Marion Milner intertwine with the voices of contemporary transactional analysts to comprise the theoretical basis of this article. The author draws on her years of clinical experience with children to offer a contemporary vision of the use of transactional analysis in psychotherapy during important developmental ages. The article concludes with a case example.
