This article is based on the acceptance speech given by the author as she accepted the 2009 Eric Berne Memorial Award on 9 July 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. She expresses her thanks to those who supported her work as well as those who supported the meaning and value of transactional analysis in work with children. She also describes how working with children offers hope for the future.
