Abstract
During an emergency when only turbine power is available, the illumination level automatically drops by one-half, open-circuiting the bottom half of the split-bus panel. This technique is slightly more expensive than wiring alternate lighting fixtures on normal of emergency power, but does not produce spotty or uneven illumination during a power failure.
