Abstract
During the past several years the 1st author noticed that when patient with headache, tooth ache, chest pain, abdominal pain, & backache, pain significantly reduced or was eliminated temporally by the application of mechanical stimulation of one of the front teeth (1st incisor, 2nd incisor & canine) of right or left, front tooth of upper & lower jaw. Furthermore the same procedure was found to reduce cancer parameters such as abnormally increased Telomere, Integrin α5β1, Oncogene C-fos Ab2, & Asbestos, temporally. Since these results resemble the administration of one optimal dose of DHEA (although effective time duration is much longer with DHEA), the authors suspected mechanical stimulations of these teeth may be stimulating release of DHEA. In onier to explain such a possible mechanism, the authors measured DHEA before & after application of one minute mechanical stimulation of one of the front 3 teeth (1st incisor, 2nd incisor & canine) of right or left, front teeth of upper & lower jaw. Before the application of mechanical stimulation of any one of the front 3 teeth, DHEA was an extremely low value of less than 10 ng and after 1 min stimulation, DHEA increased to 100 − 130 ng. In order to support this idea, we also made localization of organ representation area of cortex of adrenal gland (where DHEA is produced) on the surface of each front tooth. Additional hippocampus representation area was also localized as the mechanical stimulation of these front teeth seemed to improve short term memory. The authors summarized this relationship through this research. One-minute mechanical stimulation of any one of the front 3 teeth (1st incisor, 2nd incisor & canine) at right & left side, upper & lower jaw induced temporary disappearance of pain & temporary reduction of cancer parameters such as Telomere, Integrin α5β1, Oncogene C-fos Ab2, Asbestos etc. of anaplastic Astrocytoma, squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus, adenocarcinoma of colon, prostate cancer as well as tempo rary reduction or disappearance of headache, chest pain, abdominal pain, backache etc. Since these changes resembled increase in DHEA, the authors evaluated possible increase in the amount of DHEA by the mechanical stimulation of one of these front teeth and found that all of these teeth had adrenal gland representative area & Hippocampus representation area at relatively large area on the front of the tooth. One-minute mechanical stimulation of any one of the front 3 teeth at right & left, upper & lower jaw often reduced or eliminated the pain for 3-24 hours. However, temporary reduction or disappearance of Integrin α5β1, Oncogene C-fos Ab2, Asbestos etc. in cancer tissue often lasted a shorter time duration of less than 4 hours with significantly increased DHEA level. In general, for young healthy individuals the beneficial effects often last longer, and for older individuals the effects often last less than 4 hours.
This new finding provides additional possible mechanism and beneficial effect of the bruxism of teeth or of brushing of teeth.
