Abstract
My own struggle with mercury poisoning from prenatal mercury exposure and from my dental work went undiagnosed for almost 40 years: I found it on my own after having seen almost 50 physicians who were totally unaware that I was systemically poisoned and treated me for multiple sclerosis, a heart attack, mitral valve prolapse, rheumatoid arthritis, glomerulo-nephritis, mental instability (have I got a great psychiatric referral for you!!), lupus erythematosus, skin cancer, and a host of other illnesses and diseases. Once diagnosed though my own detective work and rejected by the Selikoff Clinic at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian told me I was on my own since I was hopeless ---- I used alternative medicine to regain my health. A long slow process coupled with extreme censure by my family and loved ones, but I made it Today I am a dental education advocate and researcher in this extensive area of multiple metal poisoning.
