Abstract
Viewing the brain as a biological orchestration as it relates and interacts with membrane lipids offers a new dimension into understanding the specificity of the brain and the intricate integration with essential fatty acids and prostaglandins. The CNS cannot controlled without respect to lipid substrate, yet fatty add metabolism has been poorly delineated and often simply ignored in treatment protocols. Understanding lipid metabolism brings a new powerful tool that resolves some of the complexities as it pertains to the intimate link of the central nervous system to the immune, endocrine, hepatic, renal, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and cardiovascular systems as well as exquisite capacity to impact the brain. A new frontier in medidne has awakened the exploration of three dimensional metabolics through red cell fatty acid analysis. Through revolutionary finite lipid testing a therapeutic door has been opened that leads to clear patterns of lipid disturbances in neurological disorders such as Epilepsy, ALS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Metal Toxicity, Autism, MS, Pervasive Developmental Delay, Traumatic Brain Injury, Schizophrenia....
