Abstract
In paper, we are giving the link between biochemical and biophysical processes based on ions properties. From a biophysical viewpoint, we proposed a new model in which the ions play the important role in the acupuncture mechanisms, forming on the acupuncture points at the skin surface the layer of weakly ionized air - which has εr ≥ 1. This phenomenon can be detected by electro-photography (Ki- rilian photography) in general, or by EEG study in the case of acupuncture points of lobe surface. This model gives the satisfactory explanation why neuropsychiatry diseases can be treated with success by acupuncture and electro-therapeutics. We have presented a simplified theoretical model for anesthetic activity, taking advantage of the fact that ions are important element for membrane and cytoskeletai proteins. This model may help to explain some of the molecular mechanisms behind general anesthesia.
At the end of our paper, we discussed about biochemical and biophysical link in the acupuncture mechanisms, and a possible applications of this knowledge in information biotechnology for biomedicine and computer industry.
