Abstract
Herewith an overview of the highlights of the year 1982 is presented with the emphasis on the quantitative aspects of IFLA. A separate report over the years 1981/ 82 will be issued by the Secretary General to the Council in Munich (26 August 1983). That report will be concerned not so much with statistics, but with trends. It will reach the membership with the documents for the Council Meeting.
